WHAT'S HAPPENING.........
UNDER 13'S ARE GOING PINK!!
The Under 13's are taking part in the McGrath
Foundation's "Pink Stumps Day" to be held on
Saturday 18th February. They are hoping to
raise funds for this worthy cause and would
appreciate the support of our entire club. It is
likely that everyone has exprienced either a
family member or family friend undergo breast
cancer treatment so please consider supporting
the Under 13's and their coach Terry Brennan.

WEEKEND 21ST JANUARY
Welcome back and Happy New Year to all our players and their families. We trust everyone enjoyed the holiday break. Cricket was back in action and most of our teams came up with a win.
UNDER 11'S
The Under 11's had a very tight win over Glenmore Park. RSL posted 6/88 and Glenmore Park 6/85. Topping the runs for RSL were Nicholas Pilon and Tayla Aldous. Nicholas also picked up two wickets.
UNDER 12'S
Match abandoned
UNDER 13'S
The 13's had a win over our combined Emu/RSL team. Brayden Brunt and Zach Murray both scored 22 runs each. Zach also collected two wickets along with Ahmed Zain and Jesse Ronneberg.
UNDER 14'S
The 14's had a win over Glenmore Park. Waled Nadeem batted well scoring 58 runs. Best of the bowling was young Riley Brunt playing up from the 13's with three wickets. Riley normally keeps wicket in the 13's and very rarely bowls so this was a great effort from him. The 14's extend their thanks to both Riley and his brother Brayden for filling in for this match.
UNDER 15'S
The break did not hurt the 15's as they continued their winning run. A fine effort with the bat from Jayden Taunton with 55 runs. Well done Jayden! He was well supported by Long Fogg with 33 runs. Stuart Potts and Hasam Ezad were the best of the bowlers with two wickets each. A special mention to Chaitnya Sharma from the 13's who filled in for this match. He bowled well returning the tidy figures of 1/7 from 4 overs.
UNDER 16'S
The 16's were desperately unlucky to go down by only one run with only eight players on the field. Topping the runs were Kane Hausfeld (41), Caleb North (36) and Nathan Reeves (26 n.o.). Best of the bowling was Vijay Kasina with two wickets. Better luck next match boys.
INTERESTING CRICKET STORY FROM THE NORTH COAST
As a young boy, Chen Tay's life was under threat and he made it to Australia only by chance.
Fast forward 31 years to last Saturday when he blasted an innings of 214 runs for Lennox Head
in a Ballina District fourth-grade cricket match against Alstonville at Williams Reserve,
Lennox Head.
It was a club-record knock, surpassing Brian Schweitzer's previous benchmark of 210 in the
2001-02 season.
Tay's innings included 26 fours and 13 sixes.
